David has a long legacy with TMYL. He started out as a ball boy at TMYL’s Fall Fundraiser when he was in middle school, and it was a great experience. Now, he serves on the board because it's an organization that embraces two things that he loves: education and tennis. “I love being able to provide our kids with things that helped me become the person I am today,” he said when asked about his role at TMYL. After getting into tennis and playing competitively through high school, David went on to become a four-year, all league tennis player at Albion College. Today he is Vice President of Swan Electric Company, Inc., an achievement developed through 25 years in the electrical contracting industry. We’re so thankful to have David and his experience leading TMYL’s board!

Amanda Fisher, Vice President
NFIB/MICHIGAN
Amanda’s love for professional tennis and desire to help kids succeed in life has made her the perfect addition to TMYL’s Board of Directors! After graduating cum laude from Albion College in 1994 with a BA in Political Science and a concentration in the Ford Institute of Public Service, she has since been involved in the political arena for almost 30 years and advocated for small business for over 20 years. She has been an invaluable voice in her support of TMYL. “The work TMYL has done has been remarkable and inspiring,” says Amanda, “and continues to drive my desire to serve.”

Jeremy Wells, Treasurer

Jeremy, a local MSU Alum, has been proudly serving on the TMYL Board of Directors since 2021. He loves being able to serve in an organization that offers Lansing students educational support and helps prepare kids for their future. Jeremy brings extensive knowledge and experience in Marketing & Finance, graduating with an MBA from MSU’s Eli Broad College of Business and working in the field for over 20 years. With a passion for tennis, Jeremy is excited by TMYL’s mission, which he emphasizes, “provides an opportunity for kids to enjoy, train, and compete in tennis - a fun sport for life.”

William Struck, Secretary
Retired Educator
Bill is a Lansing native, spending most of his life in the community, and attended Kalamazoo College where he majored in chemistry and played on the varsity tennis team. He has experience as a lab technician, a teacher, and spent 12 years at Court One in Okemos. There he was head-pro, gave lessons, ran numerous tournaments and was a traveling coach for teenage players at the local, state, regional and national level. With his love for education and tennis, Bill embodies TMYL’s mission to provide Lansing’s youth with both and has proven to be a vital asset to the board.
Ralph Beebe

Ralph has lived in the Mason/Lansing area for over 36 years with his wife and kids, all of whom have a love for tennis! Along with his business experience of working at Highland Engineering, Inc. for 35 years, he has also served on several boards over the years, including Camp Daggett in Petoskey, the Ingham County Animal Shelter Fund, and the Mason Public School Board. Ralph has been a tremendous supporter of TMYL and our mission for a long time, and we are so honored to now have him serving on the board!

Nicholas Belloli

Nicholas has worked in the medical device industry for 18 years, and is currently the Sales Director of Mediliant Group. As a longtime Lansing resident and Michigan State University alum, he is grateful to be able to give back to the community he grew up in and has loved being a part of. “I love helping kids through education and athletics!” he said when asked about his work on TMYL’s board of directors.

Nicole Brillantes
The University Club of MSU
Nicole is currently the Interim Fitness and Wellness Director at the University Club of MSU. She has 32 years of experience in Club industry management & marketing and has served on the board for over 10 years! She was an East Lansing High School graduate and fellow classmate to Todd Martin, who have been friends since 6th grade. The Lansing community is her passion along with serving youth and assisting in building dreams through the game of tennis with leadership opportunities.

Trent Clark
Athletic Influencer Marketing
Trent was born in West Michigan but spent most of his professional career away from the Great Lakes state. During his career as a Professional Baseball Coach, he had three World Series appearances coaching with the Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Indians, and the Los Angeles Angels. Now back in Michigan as CEO of Athletic Influencer Marketing (AIM), Trent is eager to assist the TMYL team in continuing to serve Lansing’s youth and develop their leadership skills. His athletic and entrepreneurial experience is a perfect fit for TMYL’s board!

MSU Men’s Head Tennis Coach
Harry grew up in the Greater Lansing Area and attended many Todd Martin Youth Leadership events as a kid before he went on to play tennis collegiately at Michigan State University. MSU remains his home to this day, now serving as the Head Coach for Michigan State Men's Varsity Tennis Team. Harry has recently joined TMYL’s board. “[TMYL] inspired me to improve on the court, in the classroom and in the community,” he said, reflecting on his experience with the organization. “Because of that, I hope to give back to the next generation of children in the Lansing area to give them the tools necessary to be leaders in the community.”

Sparrow Family Medicine Residency Program
Emalie has been a member of the Lansing community for the last 25 years and is thrilled to be able to give back by serving on TMYL’s board. She is a former high school teacher, has a history of working in non-profits, and currently works in the Sparrow Family Medicine Residency Program as Behavioral Medicine faculty. As a part of the board, Emalie is excited to offer kids an opportunity to play a sport that is not accessible to everyone. Tennis continues to be a sport she and her two kids play as often as they can!

Todd is an experienced real estate professional providing retail, office, industrial and multifamily real estate services in the greater Lansing Area. He attended Michigan State University, where he was on the varsity tennis team, and he continues to cheer on the Spartans with his wife and two kids. “Tennis was a huge part of my life and playing college tennis taught me many life lessons,” he said when asked about serving on TMYL’s board. “I wanted to help pass that opportunity on to others.”

Robin was raised and educated in Detroit, where she earned her bachelors in English Literature from Wayne State University and master's in Education Leadership from Marygrove College. Now, she leads the education efforts of WKAR Public Media, the PBS and NPR affiliate serving Michigan's capital region. She's also an award-winning writer and executive producer with three films produced under her leadership.
Her daughters participated in the TMYL program for years and tennis has been a lifelong love for both Robin and her girls. As a board member, she wants to ensure TMYL's longevity as an organization and community resource.

Nicholas is a member of the Financial Planning Association, and he currently holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) professional designation. Nicholas is actively involved with Entrepreneurs’ Organization West Michigan Chapter serving on the board in various positions. His personal mission is to have a positive impact on people, which he works to achieve by volunteering his time and expertise to various organizations, including the East Lansing Film Festival and Cedar Springs Education Foundation, as well as serving on TMYL’s board!

Sue Selke

Sue has been a cornerstone member of TMYL’s board since the organization’s inception nearly 30 years ago and she is no stranger to the game of tennis! After playing tennis for MSU in the ‘70s, and capturing titles in the Big Ten Singles & Big Ten Team tournaments, Sue became a certified professional tennis teaching pro in 1977 and has been instructing ever since. She is currently the Executive Director at Court One Athletic Clubs, where she has been for over 45 years. “When Todd wanted to give back to the Greater Lansing Community and team up with the USTA NJTL network I was ready to be part of it from the beginning,” she said. “I wanted to keep tennis growing and give opportunities to all kids to be the best they would like to be through tennis and education.”

Chris grew up in the Lansing area as a proud Okemos Chieftain and Michigan State Spartan. While in college, Chris served as the Team Captain of the MSU Men’s Varsity tennis team. He went on to graduate from MSU’s Eli Broad College of Business as well as MSU’s College of Law, and now works as a Financial Consultant. As a member of TMYL’s board, Chris is happy to give back to both the community he grew up in and to the sport that has provided him with so many opportunities.

Daniel Swan

Daniel grew up in Okemos, where he played tennis in high school, and continued to play once he attended Purdue. “Tennis has been such an important part of my life,” he said, “and I credit a lot of the most important lessons I have learned in life to the sport.” Daniel brings his extensive experience in business, most recently leading McKinsey & Company’s global operations, to TMYL’s board. He looks forward to witnessing the organization’s impact, knowing that giving tennis, leadership and education opportunities to more kids has the potential to fundamentally change the trajectory for these children, and the community.
